College Corps a University for the rest of us.
Are you one of the many individuals that just don't learn well in the standard classroom lecture setting? Are you someone that believes college is more than just learning how to do a job, it's about developing your individual strengths and critical thinking skills? Are you someone that recognizes with modern technology we shouldn't be paying the insane amounts of money we pay for our education. Are you tired of sitting in a classroom, as an overpriced scientist tries to be an entertainer, who ultimately fails to educate anymore than 10% of the people that go through their class? Then College corps is the solution built for you.
This is how we take our average American working class non-student factory worker or farmer and turn them into highly educated, super learners that have the self confidence and discipline to be super Americans for life. |
|
STEP 1
First our students will show up for a three-month boot camp. There will be different levels of intensity from Air Force to Marine Corps in level of difficulty. Boot camp is designed to give you all the professional skills, self discipline and self confidence you need for a successful career. You will also develop the self discipline, self confidence and self reliance you will need to be successful in college corpse and life.
The goals we will achieve in boot camp.

The goals we will achieve in boot camp.
- We will get you in some of the best shape of your life and teach you some basic self-defense.
- We will teach how to present yourself as a professional that should be respected.
- We're going to teach you how to speed read, how to memorize anything, how to be able to do all those late-night TV learning tricks that we know anyone can do you just have to practice them 15 minutes a day, twice a day for 90 days.
- We're going to have you do a battery of psychological tests to help you know and understand yourself better than you ever did before. You will learn what kind of learner you are. You will learn what areas of study are most likely to be of interest to you for a lifelong career. You will learn about all your flaws and how to manage them. You'll also learn about your strengths and how to use them to the best of your ability.
- If you have a drug or alcohol addiction problem we will use this as an opportunity to put you through a rehabilitation program and make sure this isn't going to be a problem for you and doesn't negatively impact your college investment.
STEP 2
After boot camp an advisor will sit down with you and help you evaluate your psychological profile to figure out what your scientific area of study is going to be. You'll then be assigned to a squad of 5 individuals that are studying the same things you are, that learn the same way you do and are psychologically profiled to become some of your best friends for life.
Your squad will also be assigned a third-year student to be your squad leader. Your squad leader will serve as your manager, coach and guide through your first two years of College Corps.

STEP 3- LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN
Your squad will be assigned a squad vehicle that your squad will use to travel the country. The squad will be taught how to properly drive the vehicle and then use it to support squad projects and the squad itself. The Squad vehicle will help keep down student costs by letting the squad share a vehicle instead of supporting their own cars and by having the students maintain their own squad vehicle, the students will learn proper vehicle maintenance and basic vehicle repair. Skills every American should have.

STEP 4
Your squad will then travel to your first posting. This will be a single family residence that students will share and maintain. From this experience students will learn
All of your posting will be temporary about 3 months. Every 3 months the squads will move to a new residence in a different part of the country. Sometimes they will be in the city and other times they will be in the country. You might even spend 3 months living in a tent if you join some of our harder programs.
This will allow students to get to know different parts of the country. Squads will plan and take exploration boondoggles all the time. ( weekend trips to check out some of the cool local treasures and hangouts.) Students will learn

- About their country and its’ many unique regions and cultures.
STEP 5- START YOUR ENGINES AND ENGAGE YOUR MINDS.
Next we start the students education. Most student classes will be done as a squad around the kitchen table on the internet. We will send supplies for home labs or set up partnerships with community colleges when possible. We will also be developing partnerships with businesses and governmental agencies that are looking for talent or that want to offer apprenticeships.
We will provide all original content and material on websites and through apps. This will eliminate the cost of books and paperwork. Students will pay for the classes they complete after they pass to insure no one pays for a bad teacher or an inappropriate/ineffective course and there is no penalty for switching classes.
This user pays system will allow student to take classes for free just because they are interested in the knowledge but they pay if they want class work assessed by a human teacher or if a student wants course certification or credit for a degree.
This would also put a free college online for anyone world wide that needed it. This type of free University system would allow for students to custom build their education or skills development plan to fit their future goals or employment needs. Certifications and project evaluations would be paid for independently through individual course certification fees.
Instead of scientists playing teacher putting on a few shows a week to support their research. We could have teachers with unlimited class space that specialize in EFFECTIVELY TEACHING a subject with a goal of 90% knowledge retention rate for each student that completes their class.
Many television Stations and content producers have already provided a video presentation of a lot of what should be our course material. The television producers will be able to develop testing along with any other infrastructure needed to properly present and teach the course. It will be available to students and the public worldwide with the College Corps acting as a not-for-profit agency that insures courses quality, minimum standards and monitors student success. We will provide server space, supply delivery, product development support and administrative support for the different courses and their presenting teachers.
This will mean a larger selection of class presentations for the same material. Imagine 40 different and unique presentations of chemistry 101 available to choose from. Now imagine using your personal psychological profile from the College Corps program to help you find which presentations were most effective with your personal learning style. We would get better results from a fully customizable approach tailored to each student's goals and personal learning style.

STEP 6- TIME TO SEE THE WORLD
18 months into the student's College Corps career the student will start learning a language. The student's and their squad will begin intensive language practice in preparation for the student's last quarter of their 2nd year project abroad. Students will be sent abroad to develop the student's language skills and learn about and how to work with other cultures. This will be three months serving an overseas humanitarian project of good will.

What students will learn
- How to work and travel abroad.
- Another language.
- How to quickly become proficient in another language.
- About the world community and the value of humanitarian aid.
- How other cultures work and how to adapt to them.
- Self confidence and leadership.
- The number of opportunities in business and science that can be found abroad.
- How to develop and nurture international relationships.
STEP 7- MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PHASE
Upon finishing this 2nd year overseas project you will be saying goodbye to your squad and start the leadership and management part of the College Corps. During their third year Students will develop their management skills by running the college. We will have a core full time staff that keeps College Corps running but it’s the students that keep costs down.
During year three you will spend time managing and working the different departments and aspects of College Corps. What jobs you get will depend on your scores from your first two years. Most will spend some time managing some different part of the Corps. From managing a squad for 6 months, to managing housing for 2000 students in the state of Washington (some in camps built in remote woods with limited access) with different vacancy times and other logistical nightmares. The purpose is two fold.

- We will keep costs down by having students cover as much of the work as possible. ( I believe we can make it more profitable to work for the school and lower overall school labor costs per- students as much as possible VS working for a company that won’t accommodate your college career first.) Better results with the ability to put college first and the job second.
- students will learn-
- Leadership and management skills.
- A sense of responsibility and an understanding of the pressures that come with others relying on you.
- How to learn a job and what to do when you're a new manager and people are looking to you for direction from day one on the job.
- Business logistics and operations.
STEP 8- GOING ABROAD AGAIN AS A LEADER
During the last 6 months of your career with College Corps you will learn another language on your own. This is to help you develop your language learning skills and will help you develop the ability to learn future languages quickly and on your own. It will also be necessary for your last overseas humanitarian project where you will spend another 3 months overseas using your language skills and getting more exposure and experience working with other cultures. During this last overseas project you will be expected to lead and take more responsibility. You will be leadership for the 1st and 2nd year students that are there with you. This will be your last great adventure with college corps.

STEP 9- GRADUATION AND YOUR NEW TOOL SET
A students last month in College Corps will be spent sharing a house with their squad members from the student's first two years. This will be time to say goodbye to your friends and prepare for your next step in life. Students will finish up any unfinished coursework or certifications needed for graduation. Students will start applying for work and arranging their next place to live. They will use this final month to mentally embrace the new person they have become.

I would like to set our goal of creating College Corps an online road scholar and leadership university that for one flat fee will provided an all-inclusive university education, including -
Please let me know your opinions about this. How you would like to see me improve the plan. Just because you don’t know how to make a cool idea for College Corps work doesn't mean I don’t or someone else out there hasn’t got a solution for us. Put the idea out there and let me have a crack at it. I really just want to build a plan that is a product you, the American people, will want. I’m also not a delicate little flower. I can handle criticism and I will listen to it if it’s respectful honest feedback on how to improve an idea or even if it’s a reason you think the idea will fail. I don’t want to waste my time on a bad idea any more than you do and when you’ve got as many ideas as I have, some are bound to be bad. ( Just ask my wife! LOL : )
So give it to me strait and I’ll figure out how to fix it.
- full three years of education.
- All travel, board and housing expenses.
- A weekly paycheck for personal expenses.
